If you have kids, you know the kind of parent I’m talking about.
They’re overly involved.
Making sure things are perfect.
The kids would be better off if the helicopter parent loosened their grip and gave them more autonomy.
The freedom to make a mistake or two.
It’s hard to see in the moment, but that’s the better approach in the long run.
So what does this have to do with trading?
I see a lot of traders doing the same thing with their trades.
Monitoring every tick during a trade.
Not providing any real value – just being overly involved – which leads to mistakes.
